FAQs
How long do dental gems last?
Dental gems can last from 2 months to 1.5 years. This is an average, but it is quite common for a classic gem to last much longer.
To do this, you must follow the aftercare instructions and not constantly play with or lick the gems.
There are other factors that are independent of the person, and against which we cannot do anything, such as the porosity of the enamel, the pH of your saliva, your eating habits, way of biting/chewing, etc. Therefore, it is very possible that you will not obtain the same results as another person.
The dental gems in our kit are more temporary. They can last from the time of application until they fall off or are removed, up to 3 weeks. This time is sometimes shorter and sometimes longer! If you touch it and play with it, it may fall off sooner!
Because our teeth have different textures, shapes and sizes, results vary and we cannot guarantee that everyone will have the same results. You may not have the same result as someone else due to this factor.
But don't worry, you can still brush your teeth and eat without any problem. The Gems by Mar kit is designed for one-time use. You can't reuse the gems once they fall off, as they will lose their adhesive capacity.
To get the most out of your kit and prolong the life of your products, store it in a dark place, away from light and sunlight, this will ensure you can use your products for as long as possible.
How do gems stay attached to your teeth?
The gems stay attached to the tooth thanks to the dental grade materials used, which are approved by dentists.
Can dental gem application materials damage my teeth?
No. All materials are dental grade and dentist approved. It is made specifically for your tooth and will not cause any kind of damage. Mild and temporary sensitivity may occur. But, because these materials are dental grade, they contain chemicals that can cause damage when used incorrectly or on any part of the body other than the tooth.
Is it safe for any user to use these materials?
Dental products that are not included in the home application kit, we recommend that they are not used by professionals in the field, whether with a professional dental qualification, or an advanced course in gem application. Our dental products resin, ETCH gel and adhesive, should only touch the tooth, and should avoid any contact with gums or other mucous membranes.
On the other hand, the home application kit is suitable for all types of audiences. It is specially designed to have a safe and risk-free application.
Does it hurt to apply dental gems?
Not at all! Applying a gem is a completely painless process. It's very fun and easy to do. Carefully follow all instructions and warnings and be sure to avoid contact with your gums.

You can also continue brushing your teeth, especially where you have applied the gems in a circular motion, using a gentle but effective movement.
What care should I take after having a dental gem applied?
- Do not touch/play with the gem (do not touch with your hands or tongue)
- Do not eat until 1 hour after application.
- On the first day, avoid fizzy drinks, sugary drinks, acidic drinks, alcohol, coffee or tea. (If you drink it regularly, drink it with a straw.)

How should I remove the gem if I no longer want to wear it?
Always make sure to visit a dentist to remove the gem from your tooth. Please do not attempt to remove the gem at home as our adhesives are of the highest standard. A dentist will simply remove the crystal and polish the tooth to remove any remaining adhesive.
FOR THE KIT
The crystals in our kit are very easy to remove. They will last from the moment of application, until they fall off on their own. If your gem does not come off on its own after 3 weeks and you want to remove it, simply remove it with the dental arch included in the kit or even with tweezers. If any residue remains, you can remove it by applying pressure with the tip of the dental arch. Our gems are temporary and it is unlikely that any residue will remain. Their formula is not intended to be permanent, so rest assured that any residue will come off.
Can they be applied on dentures or veneers?
Yes! Gems are safe for veneers and dentures, however, they may not last as long as they would if applied over tooth enamel.
